Terence and Jill Smith, Founders
Terence and Jill Smith understand the weight of loneliness and the beauty of God’s answer to prayer. Before meeting each other, both were living alone and had become very socially isolated. In the midst of that season, they prayed for companionship and connection—and God answered by bringing them together. Out of their union, a passion was born to help others who feel unseen, disconnected, or without support.
Together, they founded The Terence and Jill Smith Foundation to combat the epidemic of loneliness and social isolation that affect millions across the nation. Their mission is to spread awareness, host social activities, and support other projects and initiatives helping to combat loneliness and social isolation. They also host a YouTube channel and podcast, A God-Ordained Union, where they encourage, equip, and inspire singles who desire marriage to seek God for their uniquely-designed purpose partner.
Professionally, Jill is a nonprofit development expert with extensive experience across all levels of government, bringing strategic leadership and community-building expertise to the foundation. Terence is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and a seasoned professional in manufacturing, holding certifications in Lean and Six Sigma, which he uses to drive excellence and efficiency in every endeavor.
Grounded in faith, love, and service, Terence and Jill are committed to leaving a legacy of connection, hope, and impact.
Terence and Jill are the proud parents of a son and daughter (twins), and also share joy in being grand-parents. The Smiths reside in Charlotte, North Carolina.
