and
 Social Isolation.

A Rising Epidemic.

39%

Single adults are nearly twice as likely to be lonely compared to married adults.

Loneliness and Social Isolation.

This rising issue is deeper than suggesting that a person who is experiencing loneliness be more social and/or join communities. Loneliness starts with an internal disconnect between the inner being and the Spirit....where there is a painful emotional experience of feeling unseen, unaccepted or unsupported, even if surrounded by people.

The Silent Struggle to be Alone in Marriage

In recent years, more women have begun expressing feelings of being smothered in their marriages, citing a loss of personal space and individuality. While marriage is often viewed as a partnership, some women report that constant togetherness and unmet personal needs can leave them yearning for solitude as a way to preserve their self-identity. This growing trend highlights the tension between shared life and personal autonomy, with some choosing temporary or prolonged isolation to regain a sense of independence, reflection, and self-discovery within or outside their marital roles.
